Throughout our lives, we develop so many relational habits that then shape how we connect with others, how we seek closeness, and how we protect ourselves from emotional pain. Couples counseling creates a safe space for you and your partner to explore all of this and more.
Sometimes, it may feel like you and your partner are in a cycle of the same issues repeating themselves. Couples counseling can help you identify and break out of that pattern without fear of blame. We have specialists on our team who are trained in couples therapy. Your therapist will work with you to clear away the anxiety, sadness, fear, and anger that may be preventing you and your partner from healthy expression of deeply held emotions. You may have come to a point where you feel disconnected, but you can learn to express your needs and truly connect with your partner again.
We use psychological insight from the most up-to-date couple’s research to help our clients understand how to better navigate their relationships. Your therapist will help you create a space to talk through issues such as life transitions, sex discrepancies, and changes in function. In your sessions, you’ll learn how to navigate vulnerability and learn the language of open and honest communication. Your therapist shows up in a dynamic and dedicated way to help you gain insight into the way you connect with others and your relational style.
No matter how bad it seems, it’s important to remember that relationships go through numerous phases, and it is normal to have a few rough patches. The strength of a relationship is reflected in how couples deal with those rough patches and move ahead. Our therapists truly believe that love should be given a chance, and that there are some relationships that can be saved. This is where couples counseling comes in. Our approach towards couples counseling is not only geared towards solving the problems, but also towards reviving the love, joy and affection that once filled the relationship. Couples counseling can help revive a relationship that is in trouble.

No, we don’t bill insurance for treatment. When insurance companies pay for your treatment, it means they can audit our treatment plans, read what we discussed in sessions and decide whether or not you need more sessions. We believe you have a right to confidentiality, and the right to decide how your treatment should go.
For this and many other reasons, we don’t accept insurance as a form of payment. Upon request, we will provide you with a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
